As the soldiers return
The death of millions we mourn
Blood scattered in the sands
And the marchers lead the band
We must now join our hands
Try to give ourselves one more chance
For peace has come here to stay
Let us not blow it away (2)
Mothers cry in pain
Years met a lane
Bodies charred to death
Still a part of the game
Though we may not count the dead
We try to give ourselves one more life
*
Fill (lift) him cries the soldier
The Sergeant and the Chief
But when death comes near
It’s hard to believe
In the annuals of all wants
We lay deep down
Would you take this one home
Or would you take that one chum
And then you realize
In the battle of heros the coward has won
Now I make this last appeal
So all the living people feel
That peace has come here to stay
Let us not blow it away
