Indian smartphone manufacturer Lava has introduced its latest offering, the Agni 2 5G smartphone. Priced at Rs 21,999, the device features a curved AMOLED display and promises enhanced gaming and app experiences with MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 7050 processor. The Agni 2 will be available for purchase from May 24 through online stores, and customers can enjoy a flat discount of Rs 2,000 when using major credit and debit cards, bringing the starting price down to Rs 19,999.
The Agni 2 smartphone boasts a 6.78-inch FHD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth visuals. Its standout feature is the 50MP quad-camera setup, which includes a segment-first 1.0-micron pixel sensor for capturing more light and detailed photographs.
In terms of storage and memory, the Agni 2 offers 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, with the option to virtually extend the RAM capacity to 16GB.
Equipped with a 4700mAh battery and a 66W charger, the Agni 2 provides rapid charging capabilities, with Lava claiming that the battery can reach 50% capacity in under 16 minutes.
Sunil Raina, President and Business Head of Lava International, expressed the company’s ambition for the Agni series, aiming to showcase India’s technological prowess on a global scale. Anku Jain, Managing Director of MediaTek India, highlighted the device’s notable features, including the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor integrated with MediaTek 5G UltraSave, MiraVision 4K HDR video processing, and MediaTek HyperEngine gaming enhancements.
