Realme continues to bring innovation to the sub-US$150 smartphone segment with its latest offering, the Narzo N53. This device stands out as Realme’s slimmest smartphone yet while still managing to include a 3.5mm headphone jack and a “150% UltraBoom” speaker with Dirac enhancements along one edge.
To achieve this slim profile, Realme has implemented a “C-angled” flat mid-frame with subtle inward curves, similar to the rumored design of the upcoming iPhone 15 series. The Narzo N53 is part of Realme’s Mini Capsule smartphone lineup and features a waterdrop display notch that can expand to provide additional information such as data usage and battery statistics.
Running on the new “T Edition” of Realme UI based on Android 13, the device offers an intuitive user experience. The specifics of the N53’s 6.47-inch display are not fully disclosed, but it supports a maximum brightness of 450 nits.
Although the launch page does not mention OLED technology, it is unclear if the HTC U23 Pro should be concerned. The chipset used in the N53 is only referred to as a “powerful octa-core chipset,” and details about the secondary camera accompanying the main 50MP “AI” shooter are also not provided.
The N53 is equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSD card slot. Realme claims that the Dynamic RAM feature allows users to effectively double the RAM capacity.
Priced at INR 8,999 (~US$109), the Narzo N53 offers exceptional value for its features and specifications. It will be available in Feather Gold and Black color options starting from May 22, 2023, exclusively on Amazon.in.
Realme continues to push boundaries in the affordable smartphone market with the Narzo N53, offering a slim design, unique features, and an attractive price point that is sure to appeal to budget-conscious consumers.
