At the “10th Edition of the Indira Brand Slam Summit,” that took place in Pune on February 10, 2023, Sangeeta Chacko was the Chief Guest. Sangeeta Chacko was given the “Marketing Excellence Award” to recognize her decades of work in Brand Marketing & Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, and building the stories of Indian intellectual properties like “Sunburn,” “Bollyboom,” and Disney, as well as her dedication to the academic sector across India. Dr. Tarita Shankar, Chairperson of the Indira Group, and Chetan Wakalkar, Group Director of the Indira Group, gave her the award.
During the Indira Group of Institutes’ 2-day Annual Marketing Conclave, industry leaders from many different fields came to Pune to network, engage, and speak to a crowd of 500 PGD students, faculty, and industry peers.
This year’s summit’s theme was “Changing Paradigms for Building Brands,” which was chosen to reflect the rapid changes that have happened in many industries since Covid. Industry leaders talked about marketing strategies and shared best practises that helped them do well as the industry changed. Sangeeta Chacko talked about many interesting case studies of global brands like Percept, Sunburn, Disney, L’Oreal, Nike, Dunkin’ Donuts, and others. She went into detail about the different strategies these brands used to stay ahead of the curve and make sure their business would be successful in the future.
Amit Thete from Mercedes-Benz, Alok Kedia from IndusInd Bank, Ajay Motwani from Dabur Adani Wilmar, Shrishail Deshnur from Cipla, Vincent Pinto from Schindler, Vandana Bhalla from Titan, Raj Chilapati from Amazon Web Services, Anushree Sharma from Harbinger Group, and Siddhant Narayan from Nike were also at the summit.
