LOVE IN THE TIME OF CORONA
Watching out for birds with his binocular
A sight in the neighborhood made him stir
A girl so pretty locked his eye
Love at first sight, wanted to say Hi!
He wanted to get a message across
She was farther than a stone he could toss
Tried to escape the security tight
Couldn’t find an inch, with all his might
An attempt with a message on the pigeon’s neck
Went to the neighbor, what the heck!
A run to the terrace and loud was the shout
She couldn’t hear what was this about
Everything he tried drove him to despair
Just a message to her is all that he could care
Knight in a shining armor, horse I would ride
If it wasn’t the lockdown I have to abide
An idea struck him as a he played with his drone
Decided in life he would never be alone
Tied a message and let it fly
And as she read it, his hopes soared high
The virus might keep us briefly apart
It will end, and wire-us from heart to heart
