SAVING WATER

SAVING WATER

Years from now there won’t be water to wash your face
Every last drop saved for drinking, might be the case

Bathing once in six months as they do in extreme cold lands
I envision extreme situations so everyone understands

We have to change our habits, change our wasteful ways
If we want our fresh water to last for the rest of our days

No more letting the tap run, while you brush your teeth
Don’t let your overhead tanks overflow on to the street

You’ll remember how you wasted water and you will cry
Because in future, every drop of water, you will have to buy

The rivers flow with toxic waste, the lakes will all run dry
No longer will the govt pump our regular water supply

Hard times are ahead, so, from now on we must prepare
Only if we save water, will we have water to share
