HT MEDIA SHUTS SEVERAL FM STATIONS

HT Media has decided to shut down its FM radio operations of Radio Nasha in Mumbai, Radio One in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru and Fever in Chennai, marking a significant development in India’s radio broadcasting landscape. The company surrendered the licence for its Radio One station in October 2025 and subsequently discontinued its Fever FM station in the city in December 2025. According to the company, the Chennai operations were not making a meaningful contribution to overall revenues and offered limited strategic value.

The move reflects the growing challenges faced by traditional radio broadcasters as audiences increasingly shift towards digital audio platforms, music streaming services, podcasts, and on-demand content.
