POET'S CORNER

JUST KIDDING!

JUST KIDDING!

I was a kid someday

Felt so close to the moon

A ladder, a rope, a jump

Could reach there soon

Didn’t know how trees grew

But lusted for mulberries

Dirtied shirts and a few human chains later

Gobbled them up with ease

Fascinated with animals

And competing with dogs to bark

Admiring the colorful rainbows

Singing and tracing their arc

Reluctantly waking up early

Rushing to the morning school bell

Kicking a stone on the way

Getting up and running even I fell

Bags laden with heavy books

Yet never felt the pain

Injuries were cried over unhurt
