POET'S CORNER

HER

I wish I could sway with her
Endlessly as the breeze titillates my senses
Unfolding my passion to the tiptoe-ing raindrops

I wish I could take her to a play
Or hold her hands in a film
And feel her pulse skip a beat in the ensemble of my heart

I wish I could take her to the mountains
Or to the sea unfurling the magical sands
And sending a message that the dusk is the beginning of a golden dawn

I wish I could watch the misty moon on a foggy morning
Lazing his way to meet the sun
And tell her that darkness is shortlived and can always be changed

I wish I could capture her every motion in the lenses of my soul
Her eyes so deep and mesmerizing and an infectious smile
Alternating between the patient and the playful .. agony!

I wish I could play a melancholy tune
My fingers strumming her subconscious
And wake her up while she is melting in my arms

I wish she could hear me speak though I have no words
I wish she could hear me sing though I have no song
I wish she would give me a glance…just a chance

I hope she is not a shadow… I can feel her
I hope she is not a dream… I can see her
I hope I can wait for her… I want to believe her
